Equity in Partnership Educational and Microlending Services is directed towards individuals with limited to no credit or slightly blemished credit histories who wish to purchase a home in a targeted neighborhood and for those ready to establish, sustain, or expand a business. Affordable Homeownership and small business development are necessary ingredients to restoring economic vitality to minority communities. We recognize that fostering entrepreneurship and sustainable living are critical parts of building healthy communities. All of our programs keep residents in the Metropolitan Detroit, Atlanta and Houston areas. By helping small business owners build an enterprise or purchase an affordable home, Equity in Partnership enables individuals to assemble assets to support their family and to contribute to their communities.
Equity in Partnership is a Christian independent nonprofit 501 c3 organization developed to provide micro-economic development support services for low-to-moderate income clients throughout the metro- Detroit area.
Equity in Partnership promotes opportunities for self-sufficiency through sustainable economic and community development initiatives such as our Micro Enterprise Training Program, Small Business Loans, and true Financial Literacy. Our loan programs offer special support to entrepreneurs who do not yet qualify for commercial bank loans.
Equity in Partnership is a Christian non-profit 501c-3 organization that provides micro-enterprise and asset building support services that include the following programs:
Foreclosure Prevention/ Financial Counseling- Assist clients with accessing loan modifications, Reverse Mortgages, forbearance via, HAMP, Step Forward, and HAFA and Hardest Hit Funds to save their home. We counsel clients on all available options and assist clients on working with lenders as well as property tax appeals throughout metro-Detroit.
Small business loans ($500 to $5,000) for new and existing businesses. We offer this program via KIVA ZIP as Trustees and internally through our organizations as well as referrals to partner agencies.
·Financial Literacy and Small Business Cash Flow Training for entrepreneurs and heads of households in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
Sustainable Home-ownership is a Sweat Equity Program where low to moderate income individuals can purchase a fixer-upper from our land trust within a targeted neighborhood where they are required to learn home repair, property maintenance, weatherization, financial literacy, and participate in neighborhood engagement activities.
In addition, we provide business tools to assist entrepreneurs in overcoming barriers that may hinder success. These tools include technical assistance and training:
